1. Using this website
Extract Text Now provides free browser-based tools to extract text from PDF documents and recognise text in images. You may use them for lawful personal, educational and business purposes. The site is intended for general information and productivity, and is provided without a service-level guarantee.
2. Rights to the material
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to work with the PDF, image and any text they contain. Extracting or copying text does not transfer copyright or other intellectual-property rights to you. Respect copyright, confidentiality, privacy and applicable laws when using converted content.
3. Accuracy and compatibility
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, order, layout or formatting of extracted text. Some PDFs are password-protected, damaged or encoded in a way that makes conversion impossible. OCR may recognise letters incorrectly, and diagrams, handwritten material and complex tables may not convert well.
Do not rely on the output alone for medical, legal, financial, official or safety-critical decisions. Check important information against the original PDF and seek qualified advice where appropriate.
4. File limits and availability
The PDF tool currently accepts PDFs up to 25 MB and 200 pages. Optional PDF OCR is limited to 30 selected pages per conversion. The image tool accepts up to five JPG, PNG, WebP or BMP images, each up to 15 MB, per batch. These limits may change. Our software depends partly on external libraries and your browser's capabilities; we cannot promise uninterrupted availability.
5. Privacy and data handling
Our conversion workflow runs locally in the browser. The site does not offer cloud storage or long-term access to conversion history. Please read the Privacy Policy for information about external assets and routine website requests.
6. Fair use of the service
Do not deliberately interfere with the site, attempt to compromise its security, or use it to violate others' rights. We may change the software, content or availability of features when needed for security, quality or service operation.
7. General disclaimer
The service is offered on an “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. These terms do not replace statutory consumer rights.
8. Updates
We may revise these terms as the service develops. The effective date shown above will change when we make an update.
